I am writing an article with no supposed context but needs to revolve around the word mind. I was reading an article related to the word mind to stir up my head so that I can vomit something on the empty blank page. Everyone apparently needs a written portfolio for a job. So let me see what I can give them to take me in.
The recurring thing about the mind is when I ask people where their mind is located in their body. Most of us when we think about it, we point towards our chest/heart; some of them point it to the head. The mind is not a physical entity that can be taken out and studied but still plays a very important part in our day to day life.
Mind is not something that can be contained or be scattered. It's there and not there. I sat thinking and trying to find a possible way of explaining my mind to myself. Not something that I read from the internet. Something that would explain to me. The best possible term I could tell to myself was ‘ How GOD is to a religious person is how the mind is to a normal person’. Not quite there but still there. That was a personal explanation, I will have the atheist readers argue about it.
There is an institution started by the sixth man to walk on the moon solely based on the study of mind and interestingly the institute is mentioned on Quackwatch website. Now, does that mean a person who walked the moon is not intelligent as it seems or is rocket science not too difficult after all?
I am yet to get to the core of this writing but you can say my mind is scattered with what to write. I believe that a form of mind that we often come across is the inner voice that we have. Sometimes on a good note and some are on a very very bad note. Being mindful about our surroundings and acting upon what's right or wrong even though what our inner voice says should be how we should look into this phenomenon.
Psychedelic drugs mess up our mind but on one side psychedelic drugs help to treat messed up minds. A majority of us are in the balance of a thin line of keeping mind or right and wrong, that has helped us as a society to move forward.
Bestseller novel The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown revolves around the concept of mind or the study of the mind known as noetic study. We want to know the answer to something that doesn't quite exist and that makes us delve more into the subject. Sometimes it is just a good conversation starter with a like minded person.
There will be a future where our mind will be just means of codes that can be uploaded to a digital setup. It will be time when we would be dead to the world but not to ourselves. We will have to wait and see where this futile existence of ours takes us.
